About Us

Hi everyone, we’re Dock Holliday! Made up of two brothers Brad and Brendan Soucie and our outrageous cousin Jake Soucie.

Brief History of how things came to be, Narrated by Brendan Soucie

It seems like it was only a few weeks ago, and technically it was. I was back home from what was too brief of a four year stint in London while Brad was finishing up teachers college wearing a vintage plaid 90′s grunge throw back, which was the style at the time. We started playing gigs again as a two piece mostly in Hamilton and Ancaster, mainly at the Coach and Lantern.

So, let’s come back to the now…

Brad and I were regularly going to the Coach and Lantern pub on Thursdays for open mic night with our friends; some of Hamilton’s finest musicians. Not quite knowing where to start, the two of us began touring the Ontario pub scene playing anywhere and everywhere that would take us including Sudbury, St. Catharines, Hamilton, Kitchener, Windsor, Mississauga, Oakville, Grimsby, Niagara Falls, and every backyard party we’ve been to. Then, a single act brought us all together. Jake had moved to Toronto from our home town Sudbury and brought with him an ensemble of guitars and a Yamaha electric drum kit. After a few jams, it was settled, Jake, a guitar player by trade, would join us as our drummer. Since his addition we have played outdoor festivals and the Legendary Horseshoe Tavern.

Recently we have played for all different occasions including pub nights, weddings, various charity events, parties and a ridiculous amount of other gigs. On behalf of the band, I would like to take the opportunity to thank the bands and other musicians who have and continue to help us on our way. Namely; The Reason, Adam White, Jamsquid, Ryan Vivian, Bruce Andrews, Mike Roberts, Lindsay Fotheringham, The Dirty Sleeves, Ian Jensen, Ivan McCann, Rich Morneau, Liam Maloney, Dylan Smith, Nick Gauthier, Gillian Alexander, Laura Cole and everyone else who we have been fortunate enough to share a mic with. Thanks for taking the time to check out our site; we are currently arranging and organizing a great group of musicians to help us record our next demo…follow us on facebook, twitter and tell your friends :) See you all very soon.
